Though Jillian's actual birthday was the day before, Richard and I decided to give Jillian her "big gift" on Saturday morning. Friday night was the first chance that Richard had to put her gift together, and we figured that Jillian would really enjoy playing with it while Richard and I got the house all ready for birthday company!

Introductions...however, fyi, immediately upon seeing the dollhouse, Jillian kept asking where the people were. We put a new dollhouse sized doll in there, but it's clear she wouldn't argue with us getting her some more. ;) First thing in the morning, though, I was very tired and these kinds of comments/demands made by a toddler are not that "cute." Knowing how much time Richard put into putting the house together, I was a little upset that she couldn't just be happy with the house. Not to make excuses, though, I guess I can see how a 3 year old would want to "play" with her new toy and I suppose that could be difficult with just one doll??? Anyway, she found another one of her dolls to keep the new one company and had a thoroughly great time with her new toy!

Gettin' a feel for the house's layout...

Oh, it's so wondeful!!!

Yes, the dollhouse was quite entertaining to Jillian while I was decorating her cake and Richard was working on other bday party stuff...

True, it's a sight that many probably don't want to see...but this is me, in my nightgown, icing the cake on Saturday morning. Glorious picture, right?

A good portion of Friday night and Saturday morning/early afternoon was spent baking and then decorating a huge Care Bears birthday cake!

The finished product! :)
