| HOW IT HAPPENED |
| Initially, Richard was planning on taking Dana to their favorite restaurant, Javier's, followed by a Christmas concert at the Dallas Meyerson Symphony on their 4 month anniversary. However, Richard discovered that because Dana was always looking for the next opportunity to be proposed to, she already figured out his plan! So, he planned something she would never suspect - he would still ask her to marry him on their 4 month anniversary, just earlier than she expected! Richard took Dana to look at all the pretty Christmas lights late on the eve of their anniversary...little did he know that there wouldn't be that many lights on late at night. But that was okay, because he went along with his plan to take her back to the exact spot they talked for so long the day they met - a parking spot at Stonebriar Mall. Richard made a valiant effort to propose here, but just as the two lovebirds were getting comfy talking in his truck, the mall security man drove up alongside the truck and said there was no parking allowed! GGRRRRR!!!! Richard was no doubt disappointed, but decided the next best option would be to go to the neighboring Chili's where they ate dinner on that first date. He parked the car, and Dana tried to lean her seat back to "look at the stars." However, there was a big comforter in the back seat that had yet to be returned to the store, and it was hindering Dana from getting comfortable. So, Richard offered to go around to her side, and adjust the comforter in the backseat...When he got to her door, he shared the hopes and dreams he had for his future with Dana and got down on one knee, there in the Chili's parking lot, and asked her to marry him! :) |

| Wow! After initially planning on it being in October, we found out that Wynne Chapel at Austin College is very popular! This just means that we get to get married earlier than we expected! Hope to see you there! |
